The world premiere of "Water Like Fire" a film starring Cody Easterbrook, debuts in theaters on November 29th as an official selection of the Hawai'i International Film Festival (HIFF)
"Water Like Fire" captures the story of a brother and sister who have gone through the tragic loss of their parents. “The film is really about how people cope with grief in different ways,” said Mitchel Viernes, director and co-writer of Water Like Fire.

As the coronavirus pandemic expanded earlier this year, the message behind the film became a common theme.
​
“I think the power of cinema is to help people feel like they’re not alone in all the different things we all struggle with as humans,” Viernes said.
​
'Water Like Fire' is available for viewing at a drive-in screening, in theaters and via virtual platforms as part of the 40th annual Hawai'i International Film Festival (HIFF)

Cody Easterbrook co-stars on Magnum P.I.

The cameras are rolling again on season three of Magnum P.I. and Cody Easterbrook is returning to set filming in the CBS primetime drama. Easterbrook has landed a costarring role on the series playing T-LO, a flamboyant, sassy salon owner who is confronted my Detective Magnum.
This is quite a departure from the serious roles usually played by Easterbrook as he embraced the sassy and boisterous character that the script called for. T-LO is the kind of "colorist" who holds court and rants cheerfully to his customers while he works.

"It was so much fun bringing to life such a unique and fun role, I'm grateful the director let explore T-LO and take him over the top," said Cody.
​
The episode is the sixth in season three of the series and was directed by Krishna Rao, who praised Easterbrook for his portrayal. MAGNUM P.I., Episode #306, "Tell No One" with guest star, Cody Easterbrook will air in the new year on CBS Television.

Principle photography is underway on the feature film Bucciano with Cody Easterbrook in the leading. Bucciano is a film based on a the true story of Rosario Iodice, played by Easterbrook, as he and his small family flee their famine-stricken village in Bucciano, Italy, boarding a stream ship bound for New York City, in search of a new country and new life.
The Documentary feature film is a passion project of writer and director Cindy Iodice who retraces the steps of her great-grandfather. The film follows Cindy as she makes her way back to the tiny village in Italy where he ancestors lived and documents her journey to discover the old country and reconnect with her past.
New photos emerge from the set of 'Bucciano' as Cody Easterbrook brings to life the role of Rosario Iodice, on his wedding day and horseback heading out to start a new life leaving behind the old world.
It is such an honor to be chosen personally by director Cindy Iodice to portray her great-grandfather in this touching film that follows the journey of such a pivotal figure in the Iodice family tree

The Hale ‘Aina Awards, Hawaii's longest running and most prestigious dining honors, marked the return to the screen for hosts Cody Easterbrook and Yasmin Dar on Sep 14th, 2020.
The awards, started by HONOLULU Magazine in 1984 to honor the best restaurants in Hawai‘i, went virtual for the first time ever due to the current Corona economy.
​
Cody Easterbrook and cohost Yasmin Dar didn't let that put a damper on the evening as they lauded the top dining establishments and named the Restaurateur of the Year during the live virtual awards show produced by Ryan Kalei Tsuji Media Productions.
​
Despite the difficult year where many Hawai'i restaurants remain shuttered or operate under limited capacity due to statewide lockdowns, the restaurants were recognized for providing sustenance despite these unprecedented times.
​
"Since the pandemic began I've been ordering from all my favorite local restaurants, " explained Easterbrook, "and they've provided much-needed comfort food during such a difficult time. So it's truly an an honor to be able to recognize these restauranteurs as host of the Hale 'Aina Awards"
The digital-dependent show offered realtime recognition, including trivia, prizes and even allowed for live words shared from restauranteurs who video called into the awards program.

As the impact from COVID-19 continues to be felt across the world, film and television productions have come to a halt.
Among those that have shut down because of coronavirus concerns are all of the 2020 projects slated for actor, television host and spokesperson, Cody Easterbrook.

As production crews have quickly shut down in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus, a domino effect has befallen Hollywood’s working class.
A range of industry insiders from actors to crew, drivers and grips to set design, hair and make-up artist and caterers, now suddenly find themselves out of work. Including all of the projects involving Cody Easterbrook in 2020 which have all been canceled or suspended.

In classic Hollywood fashion, things are, in a few words "... to be continued."

Directed by J. Nick Porreca, produced by Jesse Allen and written by James McCormick, 'False Advertising' is the story of a successful advertising executive who finds himself out- pitched when a cunning 11 year old girl, Apple, cons her way into his life.

Cody Easterbrook plays John Reed, a fast-talking, no nonsense, successful ad man. The powerful CEO of his own agency, lives in the ultimate bachelor penthouse and is dating any guy's dream girl. He is living the quintessential perfect life, that is until a an unexpected visitor appears at his doorstep. The daughter he never knew he had is thrust into his life changing everything he's ever known. John quickly discovers that sometimes, big things come in little packages.
