Dinner with Big Ben

They don't often throw open the doors of the British Parliament but on this special occasion not only did we tour the historic house of commons, where the United Kingdom's laws and government take shape, we also sat down to dine on one of the most magnificent dinners in London!

First, we were treated to a private tour of the Houses of Parliament where we discovered almost a thousand years of English history inside one iconic building. I was in awe of the many treasures within, including the spectacular throne in the Lords chamber and a rich collection of statues and works of art all housed under the Gothic-Revival architecture that has become one the greatest landmarks in the world.

Put your pinky up when dinning at the British Parliament

I mean seriously, walking those halls that were once the official residence of the English royal family was a once in a lifetime experience.  We toured the Lords Chamber, Commons Chamber, St Stephen’s Hall and medieval Westminster Hall ending our adventure in the splendid dinning rooms.

The house of Parliament boast some of the finest dining facilities dating back to approximately 1867. Adorned with intricate wood carvings, and elaborate wallpaper, it was the most ornate setting to sit down to a posh dinner. We dined on a fancy feast of  ingredients from across the United Kingdom, paired with sublime presentation and elegance. I wasn't complaining, I stuck my pinky finger out like I belonged.
